Here i go waltzing into the fourth sparklehorse album quite a different kettle of fish to the debut released a decade earlier.

The lyrics are as bonkers as usual. The deluxe edition also comes with a t shirt. Here in far out s vault we remember his foray into music as he collected his trademark surrealist style which was released as a book to accompany the 2009 album by danger mouse and sparklehorse. The pressing is also really clean and quiet which very important considering quiet much of the music is.

The record sounds warm but falls below exsoectations of what i had hoped. Sounds clean and crisp on vinyl but i d guess it s just taken from the cd and not the original masters. The sound is perhaps a little dated though a little nineties sounding. The first four sparklehorse records are together on vinyl for the first time.

Although just over an hour of music is squeezed onto a single lp 10 minutes more than the plain reissues by the way sound quality is top notch throughout which is no surprise considering kevin grey mastered this original release.
